My
Story

I have a passion for animals and have been in love with horses since I was a 3-year-old and went to the local country shows! When I was 7 yrs old I took on my first loan pony and started successfully competing with him the following year.
When I was fortunate enough to own my own horse at the age of 12, I became an active member of South Trent Pony Club for six extremely enjoyable years, attending many events with them, the highlight of which was probably showjumping at the Chatsworth International Horse Trials, where our team came a very respectable 3rd place.

At 17 years I began a two-year Diploma level 3 (Distinction) Horse management qualification at Brackenhurst college in Southwell, which then led onto my Undergraduate Degree in Equine Sports Science at Nottingham Trent University from where I graduated in June 2021, having earned a First-class Honours Degree.
During my time in education, I also obtained qualifications with the British Horse Society obtaining my certificates 1, 2 and 3 in Horse management and my level 2 qualification as an equine instructor.

Since obtaining my degree I have worked Full time for KeyFlow Horse Feeds as an equine Nutritionist and last year delivered a presentation to the IGEQ 13th General Assembly in Vienna.
I competed at the Royal International Horse Show in 2019/2021 and was a class winner at the Stars Champion of Champions show at Aintree in 2018. In that same year I qualified to be a Ride Judge with TSR, and in 2021 I passed the exams to become one of the youngest Conformation and Riding judges in the Coloured Horse and Pony Society (CHAPs). I have now judged at both local shows and at Equifest in Peterborough.

In 2023 I undertook my Equine and Canine Massage therapy Training at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic. I qualified in December 2023 and I am now studying for a Masters in Animal Chiropractic Manipulation and I hope to be able to offer this additional service once I qualify in December 2025.

Throughout my life I have also enjoyed spending time with dogs, most recently with a rather crazy Springer Spaniel. Whilst my passion is horses, I am also very comfortable around our canine companions, and I am fully qualified to act as a canine massage therapist.
I have appropriate insurance cover through Balens insurance LTD, I am DRB checked and I also have a up to date certificate in First Aid with the British Horse Society.
Finally, I am a member of the International Association of Animal Therapists and a full member of the Association of Complementary Animal Therapies.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have queries and questions about your animal.
